THDCIL Recruitment 2025 Notification
We’re looking to fill 5 vacancies on a regular basis. Here’s a breakdown of the opportunities:
- Mine Surveyor (03 Posts): 02 for Unreserved (UR) candidates, 01 for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer).
- Mine Junior Overman (02 Posts): 01 for UR candidates, 01 for SC candidates.
A quick note: The company may increase or decrease these vacancies, and these specific roles are not identified for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs).
THDCIL Recruitment 2025 Requirements
Before you apply, make sure you meet these core requirements. The key dates to remember are an upper age limit of 30 years as of July 1, 2025, with experience calculated as of November 7, 2025.
For Mine Surveyor:
- Education: A full-time, regular Diploma in Mine Survey, Mine Engineering, Mining & Mine Surveying, or Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks.
- Certification: A valid Surveyor’s Certificate (Coal) of Competency from the DGMS.
- Experience: Four years of hands-on experience in coal mining after getting your qualification.
For Mine Junior Overman:
- Education: A full-time, regular Diploma in Mining Engineering with at least 60% marks.
- Certification: A valid Overman’s Certificate of Competency in Coal from the DGMS.
- Experience: Four years of relevant post-qualification experience in coal mining.
Keep in mind: A score of 59.99% is not eligible, and experience does not include training periods, internships, or academic research.
THDCIL Recruitment 2025 Selection
We’ve designed a straightforward and transparent selection process. Your journey to a career with us will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT).
- The test will be held in several major cities for your convenience, including Delhi/NCR, Dehradun, Lucknow, and Ranchi, among others.
- Your performance in the CBT is what counts—it will carry 100% weightage for the final merit list.
- To qualify, you’ll need to score 50% if you’re in the UR/EWS/OBC categories, or 40% if you’re in the reserved SC/ST category.
We are committed to providing necessary support. If you require a scribe for the exam due to a physical limitation, you can bring the required medical certificate (as per APPENDIX-I or II).

- Pay & Growth: You’ll start in the S-2 grade with a pay scale of ₹29,400 – 3% – ₹119,200, beginning at a basic pay of ₹29,400. After a one-year probation period, you’ll be regularized. Impress us, and you’ll be eligible for promotion to the S-3 grade after four years.
